1. authorSTREAM

The authorSTREAM is a great PowerPoint sharing website which enables you to upload and share PowerPoint online by converting your PowerPoint to video automatically. The best part is that you can download the generated PowerPoint video and publish to other sharing websites like YouTube.

Sign up a free account and log in to authorSTREAM. Click “Upload” and choose a PowerPoint file.

You should wait for a while for the PowerPoint to video conversion and then it will be published on authorSTREAM.

Notes: You have to set the PowerPoint music, video, animations and transitions all to play automatically and the PowerPoint duration should be less than 100 minutes, or authorSTREAM will not convert your PowerPoint to video format.

2. SlideShare

Slideshare.net is a famous presentation sharing website. You can upload your presentations in PPT, PPS, PPTX or PPSX formats to SlideShare and they’re converted into shared media but all the animations, multimedia files in the presentation will be removed.

3. Google Docs

Google Docs is an online application which allows you to create and share your work online. You don’t need to download and install anything on your computer, and you finish all your work in the browser like Firefox, IE. You can also upload your presentation made in Microsoft PowerPoint to Google Docs for further editing or sharing. As long as Internet connection is available, you can access your documents from anywhere. To use this service, you need to have a Gmail account first.

After you have created a Gmail account, sign in to Google Docs.

Now you should see a “Create” button and “Upload” icon on the left pane. Click the “Upload” icon, and choose “Files” from the drop-down menu. Then select the PowerPoint file you want to share and click “Open”.

Check the “Convert documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and drawings to the corresponding Google Docs format” box if you need to edit the PowerPoint in Google Docs. Click “Start Upload”.

Now you can edit the uploaded PowerPoint file in Google Docs, like reset images, background music, etc. Let’s skip that part and directly click “Share” to publish it online.

In the pop up dialog box, click “Change” in the “Private” line to choose who has access to the PowerPoint presentation.
