Sprint has released a brand-new Android Smartphone on June 9 – Motorola Photon 4G. This is the first time for six years Motorola provides mobile devices to Sprint after Sprint released Motorola RAZR in 2005. The Motorola Photon 4G features Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 4.3-inch qHD display, 1GH dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 16GB of storage, 8MP camera, front-facing camera and Motorola’s webtop app, which lets it run Firefox browser like a desktop PC.
4.3-inch Touch Screen
Motorola Photon 4G is equipped with 4.3-inch touch screen, which supports qHD (960×540) resolution. The large screen and elaborate display effect will bring with even better visual experience. Compare to Motorola Droid X2 which has only 768MB RAM, the 1GB RAM of Motorola Photon 4G will make it run faster and more fluently.
1GHz Dual-core Processor
Equipped with 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, Motorola Photon 4G has five times higher performance than the single-core Smartphone. The most remarkable feature of the processor is the integrated low-power Nvidia GeForce Graphics processor, which enables users to enjoy the game experience as good as game console.
Running on Android 2.3 operating system, Motorola Photon 4G not only provides full scale customized services of Google and Sprint but also equips with a 0.3MP front camera for video calling and an 8MP primary camera, which supports dual-LED flashlight and auto-focus function. Like Motorola ATRIX, it can play 1080p high definition movies and record 720p HD videos.
Support 4G Network
Motorola Photon 4g supports both Sprint 3G Network and Clearwire 4G Network and thus makes this Smartphone quite appealing for those who surfing a lot. This is Motorola’s first 4G Smartphone which supports WiMAX Network. Compared to Motorola ATRIX, it is weak in battery capacity, which is only 1700mAh.
According to reports, Motorola Photon 4G will begin on sale this summer, so it is quite soon from now. However, the specific price and release date is not yet to know.
