HTC has introduced two Smartphones at meetups held in England. These two Smartphones are special for they are running on Windows Phone 7.5 Mango instead of the usual Android 2.3. The high-end one HTC Titan, previously rumored HTC Eternity and the mid-level one HTC Radar, former called HTC Omega, will be available in October in European countries first like England, France, Spain and Germany. The price is said to be €599 without contact.
We all know HTC Smartphones has a tradition of big screens. HTC has released a number of models with 4.3-inch and 4.5-inch displays like HTC Thunderbolt, while it is still not clear whether Apple iPhone 5 would upgrade its screen up to 4-inch. However, the HTC Titan is going to have a 4.7-inch WVGA (800×480 pixels) touch screen. Such a big display is awesome for those web browsing and movie lovers.
It has other cutting-edge features too. HTC Titan will be running on Mango system, which is best acclaimed for its remarkable integrated services, like the Xbox LIVE for multimedia and games, real-time navigation and support for Bing Audio/Video, etc. Though earlier reported that Skype would be integrated too, there is not any information at this time and HTC said the phone would come preloaded with the Tango video chat app.
At the first sight of HTC Titan, it reminds us of HTC’s former Windows Mobile Smartphone HTC HD7, but Titan has better hardware. HTC Titan features a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor, 512MB of RAM and 16GB of memory. Although it is a single-core processor but its clock rate is quite high and it has Adreno 205 graphics card integrated. Another major upgrade is its 8MP camera with F2.2 lens, dual-LED flash, auto focus, panoramic camera and 720p HD video capture. Besides, with the 1.3MP front camera, HTC Titan realizes video calling via high speed 3G network.
