Insert YouTube video clips to PowerPoint presentation

The lasting popularity of YouTube and PowerPoint on Internet see a big success in the marriage of the two. It is really a piece of cake to make an interaction between a YouTube video and a PowerPoint presentation due to an abundant surge of software media.

To insert a video clip from YouTube, you can link a live video source to your PowerPoint presentation as describe in the preceding post on this topic. But there is an alternative - insert the YouTube video to your presentation after downloading it to the local drive and converting the FLV format to AVI, WMV or any other PowerPoint-compatible one.

Though being a bit complex, the download-and-insert practice proves superior to the direct linking method as Internet connection is concerned. Once downloaded onto the local computer and converted from FLV to AVI or WMV, a YouTube video clip can be easily put into your presentation by a simple clicking of Insert -> Movie under Media Clips ->Movie from File. It is particularly good to the transfer of a PowerPoint presentation, which requires you to package the presentation with the YouTube video clip prior to working on the destination. Imagine an absence of linking to YouTube site on the destination computer.
