Easter Day is the most joyous holiday in the Christian calendar. Originally it is celebrated to memorize the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his death. In the aspect of religion, it is even more critical than Christmas Day. But the most famous symbols of Easter holiday, rabbits and eggs, which symbolizes fertility, are derived from pagan west Asia. This gives Easter an advantage for celebrating across-cultures. So even for those not inclined toward Christian, Easter day represents a time of rebirth, new beginnings and the magic of spring.
