HTC has announced its first Beats phone after the recent partnership with Beats Audio – an upgraded version of HTC Sensation, called HTC Sensation XE.
This device, aimed at music lovers, comes with a Dr. Dre in-ear headphones, features a special audio profile that automatically turns on when you use headphones, as well as a remote control, which allows you to pause, play or skip though tracks, answer and end calls without touching the phone.
To provide a better audio experience, HTC Sensation XE brings with several software and hardware enhancements. The biggest change of hardware is the 1.5 GHz dual-core processor with 768M of RAM and 8GB of memory, which makes run faster and more fluently. To ensure a longer music playing time, HTC has equipped this device with a 1730mAh battery. Other hardware like the 4.3-inch qHD screen and 8MP camera with dual-LED, auto focus and 1080p HD recording, remains the same with original HTC Sensation.
HTC Sensation XE will run on Android 2.3 with its own HTC Sense 3.5 UI, which makes a few optimization of the original Android UI and will occupy less RAM. There will be a quick launch unit in Sense 3.5. It features a minimized weather, clock and 5 shortcuts. Under each shortcut, there is a little drawer, where users can put in certain apps and notifications.
Now, this HTC Sensation XE has opened pre-order services in Britain at €489.95 and will be shipped on October 7.
