How to Count the Number of Words in PowerPoint 2003/2007/2010

Questions:

You know in Microsoft Word, you can directly see the number of words in the status bar. How can I know the number of words of a PowerPoint file?


Not many people need to count the number of words of a PowerPoint file for usually there will be only key words and concise points on the PowerPoint slides. But if you want to, Microsoft PowerPoint can count the number of words that are in a presentation and even more details like how many slides, notes, hidden slides and multimedia clips in the PowerPoint file.

1. On the “File” menu, click “Properties”.

2.In the “Statistics” pane, find “Words“, and then view the number of words in the “Value” column.

1. Click the “Microsoft Office Button ”, point to “Prepare”, and then click “Properties”.

2. Click the arrow next to “Document Properties” and then click “Advanced Properties”.

3. In the “Statistics” pane, find “Words“, and then view the number of words in the “Value” column.

1. Click the “File” tab, and then in the leftmost pane, click “Info”.

2. At the bottom of the rightmost pane, click “Show All Properties” and then you will see the number of words.
