Tired of clicking mouse, hitting a key or pressing Next on your projector? How can I set it automatically advance slides in PowerPoint 2010, better with background music playing throughout the entire slides?
Well in PowerPoint 2010, you can set up your presentation so that each slide automatically advances after certain timing.
To make a slide automatically advance after a certain amount of time:
Open your PowerPoint presentation. Click Transitions tab of the ribbon, and find the Advance Slide section at the far right hand side.
By default, the slides are set to advance On Mouse Click. Here to make the slides advance automatically, uncheck the On Mouse Click box and check After 00:00:00 box. Then fill in a timing you want, such as 00:06:00, this means after 6 seconds.
Tips: To set the entire slides advance automatically after the same timing, you can first select all the slides and then set the timing. In this way, the timing will apply to the entire slides.
How to set different timing for each slide then? Of course you can select each slide and set timing follow the above steps. But why not use an easier method?
Click Slide Show tab of the ribbon and find Rehearse Timings in the Set Up section.
Click it and you will enter PowerPoint Show mode and see the Recording box. Wait for a certain amount of time and click the right arrow to the next slide.
That’s it! You have successfully set the slides advance automatically in PowerPoint 2010 now. Next, you will make your PowerPoint perfect by setting a song play across the entire slides as background music in PowerPoint 2010. For detailed guides, please read here.
