Free Method to Create Watermark in PowerPoint 2007

Watermark is just like a signature to tell people that who owns this PowerPoint or who creates the PowerPoint. Just like when you watch videos on YouTube, there will be a “YouTube” logo on every video, and you can also watermark your PowerPoint to protect the copyright or for advertisement.

Although we can add watermark to PowerPoint when converting PowerPoint to video or burning to DVD, but you’ll need to pay for that kind of software. Is there a free method that we can add watermark to PowerPoint without changing the PPT format?

Yes, you can. Here is a step by step tutorial on how to create watermark in PowerPoint 2007.

A watermark can be added to all of your slides at once by placing the image on the slide master

Step 1: Run PowerPoint 2007 and open a PowerPoint presentation.

Step 2: Click on the “View” tab of the ribbon and choose “Slide Master”. Remember to select the first slide in the left task pane so that the watermark can be added to all slides in the following steps.

Step 3: While still in slide master, click on the “Insert” tab of the ribbon and select “Picture” to insert your watermark picture.

Step 4: Move the picture to your desired place and adjust the size.

Step 5: Right-click on the picture and choose “Format Picture…” from the shortcut menu.

Step 6: In the Format Picture dialog box, select “Picture” in the left list. In the “Recolor” drop down list, choose a color mode, for example “Grayscale”.

Then, adjust the “Brightness” and “Contrast” to your needs.

Step 7: The last step is to send the picture to the back under the text. Right-click on the picture and select “Send to Back” -> “Send to Back”.

Now close the slide master, and you should see the watermark on every slide in PowerPoint 2007.
