Four Methods to Insert Flash into PowerPoint 2007


The importance of PowerPoint is as plain as daylight. Most of the time, we need to add some flashes into the slideshow to make it look like much more vivid, more artistic, and more persuasive. In PowerPoint 2007, however, the flash cannot be inserted directly. So, I will introduce four solutions to you in this article, and you can choose the one that fits you best.

Method One: Insert Flash through the Action Button

1. Run a PowerPoint program, and open the slide where you want to insert the flash.
2. Click Insert Illustrations ShapesAction Button.
3. Choose any action button you like, and then a pop-up window will appears. Select either the “Mouse Click” or “Mouse Over” tag from the pop-up window, and check the Run Program option. Click Browse to add the flash file you need.
4. Click OK. And a separate display window will appear to respond all the flash mouse events.

Method Two: Add Hyperlink

1. Run a PowerPoint program, and open the slide where you want to insert the flash.
2. Insert any object (such as one paragraph, or one picture) into the slide to set the hyperlink address for the flash file. It may be admirable that there are some correlations between the inserted object and the flash.
3. Click the Insert tag, and then choose the Hyperlink option.
4. In the pop-up Insert Hyperlink window, choose the Link to: Existing File or Web Page. Click the Current Folder button, and add the flash you want to insert. Click Ok to complete the operation. Just click the hyperlink if you want to play the flash in PowerPoint.

Note: Make sure that the flash should be placed in the same folder as the PowerPoint presentation, and move them together when you want to display it on other devices.

Method Three: Enable the Shockwave Flash Object in the ActiveX Control Option of Your PowerPoint

Method Four: Convert SWF to Video

In PowerPoint 2007, you can insert video files into the slide directly, so insert the swf file into PowerPoint after converting it to video is an easy but good method.
1. Convert SWF to Video .
2. Insert the output video into the PowerPoint directly.
