The HTC Runnymede, which had been pre-ordered in Britain days ago, will be released in October under the name HTC Bass, the British retailer Handtec indicates.
HTC’s cooperation with Beats Audio finally pays off recently. After it announces the Beats Audio tech on HTC Sensation XE a few days ago, its official pictures once again shows us that the red Beats Audio marker is on the back of HTC Bass. Like HTC Sensation XE, the accessary in-ear Beats by Dr. Dre headphones could automatically adjust to optimized output settings to bring out massive, powerful bass and clear, natural tone, as well as a remote control, which allows you to pause, play or skip though tracks, answer and end calls without touching the phone.
Although HTC has released hundreds of Smartphones, actually they look quite similar. But the white color and the thin body – less than 10mm thick, would give us an eye shock. However, what really attracts us is the super-huge 4.7-inch touch screen display at qHD 960×540 pixels resolution. It is really a pity that we cannot see the 720p HD screen on HTC Bass as LG Optimus LTE does.
Only a single-core 1.5GHz processor is equipped on HTC Bass due to HTC’s market orientation. But it’s a pleasure to see that it will run on Android 2.3.4 system with HTC’s unique Sense 3.5 UI. Like others, an 8MP camera is built-in with dual-LED, auto focus and 720p HD video recording, and a 1.3MP front camera for video calling. Besides, other features like 768MB of RAM, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, HSDPA and WiFi, etc are all available.
There will be two versions of HTC Bass: one is 16GB and the other is 32GB. According to the British retailer, the HTC Bass will be released in October but price information is giving out yet.
